WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

In this training you will learn the about the history of body sugaring and how the technique has evolved today.  Kayla will cover basic hair anatomy, set up sanitation, pre & post care, contraindications, product knowledge, proper ergonomics, and application. This training will go over all the benefits that adding sugaring to your service menu can bring and will last a total of 6 hours. 

WHAT'S INCLUDED

This training session will include a fully loaded back bar kit. This kit includes a warmer, sugaring manual and four live models so that you get plenty of hands on training with different hair types and body parts. We spend most of the time focusing on the brazilians as that is the most difficult body part to sugar. A certificate of completion will be presented to every student once the class is complete. Light refreshments and lunch are also provided.

I took Kayla’s sugar wax training in February of 2022 and it was super hands on and informative. I heard about Kayla on Instagram and had heard really good things prior to taking a training with her. She makes you feel super comfortable, helps you build confidence through the amount of models you get to do during her training. I had the honor in finally taking Kayla’s sugaring course. What sets her class apart from mother instructors is the 1:1 intimate hands on training with 4 models. Each had different textures of hair and each had a different body size. Kayla let me take over the sugaring session which allowed me to make mistakes and then she stepped in and taught me how to fix and learn from them. What even Is
body sugaring?

In case you didn't know, it's cool, we can you catch up here. Body sugaring is an all natural method of hair removal. It uses a paste made of sugar, water and lemons. The paste is molded into a ball and applied on the hair follicles. It is then removed quickly in a flicking motion in the direction of the hair growth. This method provides minimal irritation, slower regrowth and the reduction of ingrown hairs.

The beauty is alllll in the brows. This process is where we enhance your natural shape and make it pop! The process for a brow lamination service takes about an hour and half. During this we take your brow hairs and smooth them out while simultaneously lifting the hair in a vertical direction. The end result is super smooth brows that look like you have brow gel on them.

All the products we use are natural and biodegradable. For our vajacial services we do before and after care with FUR products. For all of our sugaring services we use Sweet & True, which is locally made here in the Bay Area. All students receive a full kit by Sweet & True and the Fur products are available for purchase in the studio.

Hey y’all! Thanks for stopping by ! I’m Kayla , also known as Bare by Kayla. A little back story , I used to work corporate and it never really resonated with who I was, so I took a Leap of faith and decided to go enroll in beauty school . Best choice I’ve ever made, because look at me now! Sugaring has truly opened so many doors for me and I’m so glad I decided to bet on myself. I’m a Bay Area native , mom of two , who is slightly obsessed with iced coffee and online shopping.
